Abstract

Denoising astronomical images which is corrupted by huge sources of celestial and atmospheric noises is a field of great importance. Richardson Lucy deconvolution is a conventional method that is used for this denoising. In this paper we have implemented this Richardson Lucy deconvolution algorithm after a preprocessing. Here we adopted wavelet domain preprocessing. Methods adopted for that include thresholding at wavelet domain and Gabor filtering.
