Abstract This project is aimed at developing an online application for the Training and Placement Cell of the college. The system is an online application that can be accessed throughout the organization and outside as well with proper login provided. This system can be used as an application for the Training and Placement Officers(TPO) of the college to manage the student information with regards to placement. Students logging should be able to upload their information in the form of a CV. They can generate various reports by using filtering. Other sub-systems like automatic notification, screens for various events are created. Like some companies visiting the campus for placements, Statistics of the previous years placements and Current Placement scenario etc.

1. INTRODUCTION
A web application or "web app" is a software program that runs on a web server. Unlike traditional desktop applications, which are launched by your operating system, web apps must be accessed through a web browser. Web apps have several advantages overdesktop applications. Since they run inside web browsers, developers do not need to develop web apps for multiple platforms. A web application is any application that uses a web browser as a client. The application can be as simple as a message board or a guest sign-in book on a website, or as complex as a word processor or a spreadsheet. The Benefits of a Web Application is relieves the developer of the responsibility of building a client for a specific type of computer or a specific operating system. The project is developed on the basis of Placement Cell being presently used in the college for storing and retrieving the information of students and companies who are registered in Placement Cell. The Placement Activity System provides the facility of maintaining the details of the students. It also provides a requested list of candidates to recruit the students based on given query. Administrator logging in may also search any information put up by the students. This project will aid colleges to practice full IT deployment. This will also help in fast access procedures in placement related activities.The current placement system has very tedious and takes more time for processing because most of the works are done manually. In Various colleges, training and placement officers have to manage the students profile and documents of students for their training and placement manually. Placement Officer has to collect the information of various companies who want to recruit students and notify students time to time about them.
Placement Officer has to arrange profiles of students according to various streams and notify them according to company requirements. If any modifications or updates are required in the profile of any student, it has to search and to be done it manually.
The objective of this PAS automates the process of college placement activities by providing the online application. This application will eliminate most of the manual activities of the current placement system. Helps the Jobseekers to know about the job vacancy and other Company requirements enable the placement officer to make filtering of profiles based on companys requirement Maintain the students information and curriculum vitae.
I.RELATED WORK
Priyanka Hajare, Priyanka Khandaveet.al, (2016)proposed Online Placement System aims at providing the Facility to automate and simplify the process of registration and list generation of eligible students for placement. This System do all work regarding placement like collecting student records, Authenticate & activate the student profiles, Notifying eligible students via automated E- mail message, Check the number and percentage of placed & unplaced students. Proper login with time & role based secured access is provided to Placement Officer, Company, College staff and Students. Students logging should be able to upload their information in the form of a Resume. Placement Officer can access, view information of the users and prepare schedule of all activities regarding placements. Company can give their own application procedure by providing link. College staff can see the registered students and their status. All registered users are eligible to participate in forum.

haramagoudar1, Geeta R.B et.al, (2013) proposed Student Information Management System (SIMS) provides a simple interface for maintenance of studentinformation. It can be used by educational institutes or colleges to maintain the records of students easily. The creation andmanagement of accurate, up-to-date information regarding a students academic career is critically important in the university as well as colleges. Student information system deals with all kind of student details, academic related reports,college details, course details, curriculum, batch details, placement details and other resource related details too. It tracks allthe details of a student from the day one to the end of the course which can be used for all reporting purpose, tracking of attendance, progress in the course, completed semesters, years, coming semester year curriculum details, exam details,project or any other assignment details, final exam
result and all these will be available through a secure, online interface embedded in the colleges website. It will also have faculty details, batch execution details, studentss details in all aspects,the various academic notifications to the staff and students updated by the college administration. It also facilitate usexplore all the activities happening in the college, Different reports and Queries can be generated based on vast options related to students, batch, course, faculty, exams, semesters, certification and even for the entire college.
Mr.Nilesh Rathod, Dr.Seema Shah et.al.,(2013)proposed Online Training and Placement (OTaP) System automates activities of training and placement cell provides opportunities to the student community to use collective intelligence to increase selection ratio and eases out process of creation of management information automatically. OTaP focuses on the automation of the placement cell. Authorizing the resumes, communicating about the various job openings to the student community, managing the corporate relationship for inviting them for the placements as well other activities, creating the placement metrics, monitoring the progress of the selection process and communicating with different users .OTaP system provides the module like Student (Current Student/ Alumni), Administrator (TPO/ TnP Staff/ Departmental Staff), Company and Forum. It has the features like Integrated Toolkit for Reach-out to Companies Track. It manages Placement process of each Job posting individually. Manage Company Profiles, Manage Job Postings, Authenticate and activate the student profiles, Send Notifications to students, Create list of students as per company HR Manager Job Request, provides the list of shortlisted student with resume to company HR Manager, Export data of shortlisted students to excel file based on Search Criteria, Manage student profile, Set preferences for student eligibility criteria for placement, Time & Role Based Secured Access to users.
Mr. Hitesh K. Kasture,Mr. Sumit S. Saraiyya et.al., (2014)prposed the work present web portal designed for managing training and placement data. The objective of this project is to develop a system that can be used by placement cell of a college. The purpose is to design a system that provides functionalities to perform the activities related to placement services. It is based on complete modular architecture. modularity of the architecture will allow us to replace or add modules in the future as a way to enhance a particular feature of particular situation. This system can be used as an application for the TPO of the college manages the student information with regards to training and placement. In the present work some of the modules are implemented by means of managing training and placement data. Whereas module responsible for adopting student information, company information and study material require for company placemenet.
The last few years have witnessed a tremendous increase in the capabilities and use of computers. Manual processing makes the process slow and other problems such as inconsistency and ambiguity on operations. The proposed system intends user-friendly operations which may resolve ambiguity. By considering all this factors, the applications produced, which performs the social service simply and effectively. The APS project has a big scope to do. We can store information of all the students. CVs are categorized according to various streams. Various companies can access the information. Students can maintain their information and can update it. Notifications are sent to students about the companies. Students can access previous information about placement. This project is to facilitate students in college, company to register and communicate with Placement Office. The users can access easily to this and the data can be retrieved easily in no time. In the main page there are options for a new register, a registered student to directly login using username and password, submit resume. In the student registration form, we can give personal details, educational qualifications, and professional skills and upload resume. The job details of the placed students will be provided by the administrator. The administrator plays an important role in our project. They provide approval of student registration and updating. In this project we create a search engine for administrator, who can search everything about the student and company.
III.SYSTEM DESIGN

In Various colleges, training and placement officers have to manage the students profile and documents of students for their training and placement manually.Placement Officer has to collect the information of various companies who want to recruit students and notify students time to time about them.Placement Officer has to arrange profiles of students according to various streams andnotify them according to companyrequirements. Computers and information technology has a major influence on the society and the society is becoming more and more dependent on technology. Going on is an era of simplifying almost all complicated works using computers.

DISADVANTAGES

DATA BASE COLLECTION
All information about the students likeName, Roll number, Register number, semester marks, percentage, contact number, address, E-mail address are collected and stored in a database by the placement officials. The administrator and authenticated user alone can alter the data in the database. The placement officer collects and stores all company profiles with student requirement. Placement officials are the responsible for altering the information in the database regarding the company details. The company information includes the company name, CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration level) companyorigin, company address, job description, requirement of students, contact and Email address.

STUDENT LOGIN
Every student is provided with studentlogin. The student can access the information about the company profile and company requirement via their individual login. The placed students details also displayed in the login. The students are allowed to update their curriculum vitae through this student login. The student can make use of the predefined Format provided in the login itself.

FILTERING PROCESS (ADMIN)
This process is used to make various reports depends on our necessity. The placement officer can select only the qualified student profiles based upon the companys requirement. The officials can filter student profiles with certain percentage like 7.5; 8.0.They can also filter one arrears, two arrears.

NOTIFICATION
By using this service, the placement officer can select only the qualified student profiles based upon the companys requirement and intimate them about the interview. They can send circular to all students or essential students based on their needs. The officials can filter student profiles with certain percentage like 7.5; 8.0.They can also filter one arrears, two arrears.

UPDATION
This module is used to update the students current information up to date. Once the placed students information is updated the information will be displayed in the student login page. The company details also displayed in student login page once company details are updated. Other events details also updated and shared among students using this module.

CONCLUSION
This project automates most of the activities of college placement cell. It eliminates the tedious manual repeated work done by the staff members of the placement cell. This project is aimed at developing a web application for the Training and Placement Department of the College. The system is a web application that can be accessed throughout the organization with proper login provided. This system can be used as a web application for the Training and Placement Officers (TPO) of the college to manage the student information with regard to placement. Students logging should be able to upload their information in the form of a CV. The key feature of this project is that it s a onetime registration. Our project provides the facility of maintaining the details of the students. It also provides a requested list of candidates to recruit the students based on given query. Administrator logging in may also search any information put up by the students. In future implementing SMS feature to send notification information .
