    Abstract:- With the advance in time and technology there is a need for faster dissemination of information. Notice boards, circulars, Google groups contents are collaborated into a single application. i.e., communicator application. The application enables to maintain many number of group accounts for sharing news feeds and exchanges of notes. Communicator application helps the users to get all the information of the department anywhere anytime. Just pick up your android device, Install the College Communicator & get all the notices of your college even if you are at your home or elsewhere. This project includes 3 major active entities:- timetable, Notice ,syllabus and attendance. The Admin can add new user, delete, update them simultaneously on the online system. These can then be viewed by the students. The news updates can be update by the Admin and staffs only.

    1. INTRODUCTION

      The Android applications are moving into every aspect of student life. Sharing of information with the advancement of android phones. Our application act as a handy interface between staff and students. It helps to maintain records of staff and students easily. The information which we get from our mobile in a cost effective way and student can get information easily and quickly. So, it is time saving through this service college communicator is one of the essential parts of colleges. As technology evolves alongside, the information revolution, the power

      of computer makes it easy to distribute and view information needed with just a few clicks.

    2. ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

      The requirement is collected by architecture through which it was decided what objects and functionality should be given to Administrator and user such as Login, Post Event, and Add new user. Then we decided the platform to build this application which is Android, what database we will be going to use which is MYSQL which language should be used develop a web based application for administrator. The administrator also manages the faculty accounts like entering a new faculty login. The faculty can update the information regarding attendance, syllabus, time table, subject notes and news updates. After the initial collection of data, different user interface for the application have been developed. This included of login, home screens for user. User has to enter username and password for authentication. Upon successful login the user has to choose the provided functionalities of the application. The mobile application is built using Eclipse.

With the introduction of android phones, colleges started developing android applications that would make student information and activities in colleges accessible up-to-date 24/7.     3. PROBLEM DEFINITION

      The problem is to provide the complete information about the college. In which the college staff members and students can access the information and will be familiar with college communicator. It will provide interactive environment for the staff and students by getting knowledge of student attendance, timetables, notices etc., A student Should be able to login to the system through the first page of the Application & Administrator can create users as per user requirement.

    4. EXISTING SYSTEM

      The development of the new system contains the following activities, which try to automate the entire process keeping in view of the database integration approach. There is no risk of data mismanagement at any level while the project development is under process. User friendliness is provided in the application with various controls. It provides high level of security using different protocols. The information can be accessed through web application. It shares limited information between staffs and students. Here is no separate login for student to access. Anybody can be able to access this application other than students.

    1. SPECIFICATION

      • Eclipse

      • Apache Tomcat / XAMPP

      • SQLite

      • Login: User must provide their user name and password to get access the system, system validate user name and password. After successful login system will captured login date, time and allow to accessing the main screen and menu options as per user rights.

      • Main Menu: After successfully login system display main screen with available menu option to the user as per rights. It also display notice, attendance and feedback.

      • Password Recovery: In the event of the user forgetting his password, a new password can be recovery by secret key.

      • Attendance Facility: Students can view their attendance and system will automatically calculate whether he/she is in defaulter or not.

      • Notice facility: Student can view all notice

      8. MODULE

      In this application we have four modules namely Home Page, Student Module, Staff Module, Admin module.

        1. HOME PAGE

          In home page there will be separate login for staff, student and admin with separate user name and password. only admin can be able to assign login id and password for both staff and student. The password can be changed according to the user after the first login

    1. STAFF MODULE

      In this staff module information like attendance, time table, notes, assessment marks and news updates will be updated. This module helps the staff end-user to authenticate through the system. The staff user gives the authentication credentials to the server. Once given details are verified in the module and permission was given by the Admin. The Staff user enters Student ID to the database. The database checks for the valid data. The database sends the authentication permissin to the staff user. The staff may then enter the datas for the student.

    2. STUDENT MODULE

      In this student module information like attendance, time table, notes, assessment marks and news updates will be displayed. The student can change the password after the first login. The student can able to view their attendance, time table, assessment marks, and view news update of the college.

    3. ADMIN MODULE

      In this admin module creation of new user account and posting news. This module helps the Admin who governs the whole functioning of the System. Admin employs here with authentication to the system. This module helps the Admin to give authentication permission to the other user on the system network. The module governs the system in three ways. It uses for own login of the admin. It uses for the login of the Student. It uses for the login of the Staff user.

      1. CONCLUSION

        Today in colleges student details are entered manually. The student separate records are difficult task. Referring to all these records and updating is needed. There is a chance for more manual errors. As mobile devices have become popular, there appears a new trend to release all kinds of college information by intelligent mobile terminals. We show a network for distributing college information among staffs and students. The concept of developing communicator application is to ensure that student can access information at any time, at any locations. Information System helps the students and staffs on college to find and access information based on ad-hoc basic, which is of interest and relevant to students or staffs through a smart phone.
